Youth and Kids

We believe that the Youth of this generation are our future and therefore need to be brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  To that end, we have youth Sunday School classes every week.  We also run a Quizzing Program and Kids Night on Wednesday evenings, a light dinner is offered at 5:45.

Bible Quizzing Program: 

Bible quizzing is a program for school-aged kids all the way up through high school.  It involves the study and memorization of specific bible sections and then participation in monthly competitions with kids from other local churches.  It is a great way for kids to learn and instill the word of God into their hearts.  Quizzing practice for our teams occur on Wednesday nights during the Family Evening events.  The competitions are generally held on a weekend and involve other churches from the community.

Kids Night:

Every Wednesday night, we gather with the kids in the Quizzing Program for a light dinner together and then we have our own lessons, projects and games.  This is primarily for preschool and elementary school age kids, but anyone not participating in the Quizzing Program is welcomed.

Vacation Bible School:

In the summer, we have a week long Vacation Bible school.  The program itself is for elementary age students.  We include the middle and high school students in the program by having them participate with the adults as helpers. This is a great multi-generational gathering.

Additional Events:  There are additional events scheduled throughout the year for the youth.  Some examples from the past are going bowling, participating in a local volleyball tournament and going swimming at a local pool.
